Amy Steingart’s poems are created in Brooklyn, NY. Her first poetry collection I Am Where You Have Put Your Eggs was published in 2019 from Small White Cat Press (available on Amazon). She attended Oberlin College studying creative writing, English literature and theater. She is a co-founder, editor, and contributor to Writers’ Bloc and is published in Lame Duck, Kind Writers, Poetica, Pandemic and Ritualwell. Her work is included in the anthology From the Depths - Poems, Prayers and Rituals. She records herself reading her poetry and posts it on her YouTube channel, look for Amy Steingart Poetry.

 

In addition to poetry Amy writes her own versions of standard Jewish prayers reflecting today’s challenging world. Amy is inspired to write by listening to John Coltrane, harvesting dreams, and practicing Judaism.
